It's summer!

Update on life:

1. I did get a 3.4 not quite the 3.5 I wanted but pretty close!

2. I got accepted to Regis University and will be attending for Fall 2014!

3. I've been slacking on my crocheting :( school got the best of me and now I'm just so lazy! It feels awesome to just do nothing everyday. 

I'm gonna start paying attention to my blog and I'll pick up my hook soon! Hehe 

Bringing in 2014 with some resolutions

-Get a 3.5 gpa next semester

-Apply to Loyola & Colorado schools

-Finish my BA in Accounting

-Have a stable well-paying job(s)

-Remember that regrets are a waste of time and emotion and to keep my head high and focused on the future. 

-Enhance my crochet skills

-Learn to ride a bike

-Begin the journey of getting my CPA license 

-Make new friends & rekindle old friendships 

Good-bye 2013. Thanks for all of the life lessons learned; both good and bad. I lost my uncle to a heart attack early this year but I also got my brother back from jail. I'm recovering from severe anxiety and depression and I'm gaining my confidence back. My life has never been easy & I'm sure 2014 will have just as many roller coasters. But I've finally learned that every setback is just a clarification of who I am and what I believe in. 

It's almost 2014!

I can't believe how fast this year went by!  It wasn't my most impressive year but I'm happy with what I did accomplish. 

I learned to crochet.

I taught myself basic yoga. 

I went back to school. 

I got a job. 

And most of all, I'm finally feeling comfortable in my own skin again. 

I never thought I would have a passion for crocheting but I'm blessed to have found it. It has been my getaway, my meditation, my craft, and most of all it's something I love doing! And now that schools out and the holidays are pretty much over, I get to relax and get back to yarn and hook. 

I always make New Years resolutions and this year is no different. I can't wait to grow more as a person and feel confident and ambitious for all of the ups and downs 2014 has in store for me. 

Expect an improved Ally next year. No doubt about it. 😘✌️

Semester hiatus

So sorry. I haven't picked up a hook in months!!! I've been working and going to school so I've been too busy to do anything else! It's sad though cuz I've had dreams about crocheting! I'm such a dork. Once the semester is over I'll be back to my old ways :)

That sure was a quick break!!!

I just received my new keyboard in the mail and I'm stoked! It works great and now I can type with so much more ease. It is a little smaller than a normal keyboard though so I'm still adjusting to the spacing.

This is why I love eBay. 😍

So I've been crocheting away working on my client's items for her baby shower. Her theme is cupcakes and leopard print! How cute is that? So far I've finished the beanie and diaper cover and a few of her amigurumi cupcakes.

Isn't it cute?? 

Don't mind the silly stuffed doggie..it was the closest thing I had to a doll to model the outfit. I'm thinking of maybe adding some sort of top to go with the outfit but I'm not sure what to make. 😝

Anyways, I've finally got everything ready for school and work. It's been so complicated but I'm glad it's over and I'm ready to start this new chapter in my life. I'm just waiting for the semester to start and my employer to send me my work schedule. I think the best part is that my job is going to be across the street from campus...which means I don't have to fight for parking! I already asked my employer at the interview if I could do that and she said it would be fine. Their parking lot is rarely full and since I am going to be there on the days I have class, theres no sense in moving my car across the street. so WHOOOO!!!!!

This gloomy weather from the remains of some tropical depression is making me wanna cuddle up with a cup of hot tea, my yarn and some 90s hip hop.

I'm off to make some breakfast, hot tea and more cupcake amigurumi!

Taking a quick break!

So, I'm getting frustrated with typing my posts with a stylus. SOO, I ordered a keyboard for my tablet which should be coming in next week!


For now, my life is all about CUPCAKES! I promise better updates once I get a keyboard 😘✌

Project Cupcakes!

So, a friend of mine is currently pregnant with her second child! It's going to be a girl and my friend wants a cupcake theme for their little princess. & She's asked me to help out with the decorations!

I've been searching everywhere and I've found a few cupcake amigurumi patterns that I'm really excited to try! 

I'm off to the craft store for some poly fill and I'll post more later today!

So I forgot to post last night. So I'm here bright and early!

Yesterday, I went to Wal-Mart to buy some poly fill and yarn. They had Caron one pound skiens for $7!! So, I bought a few. 😝

The cupcake is coming along, I'll post some pictures when it's done! It's my FIRST amigurumi project so be gentle! I hope it comes out!!

So I finished the project a few hours ago. Sent over some pictures and I believe I'm in the clear! I'm really excited to help out since this will be my first customer! We are adjusting the colors and we're still planning it out but I'm really stoked! I'm so excited I told you twice! 😜
